FAQs

Common Questions About X-Nav Robotics

Clear answers around development status, the role of X-Guide, and the future vision for the platform.

The X-Nav Robotic System is currently under development and has not been submitted for FDA 510(k) review.
Yes! X-Guide is available today and its ‘brains’ and ‘eyes’ comprise the foundational technology of our in-development robotic platform. While the robotic system is not yet FDA-cleared, we are designing it with future integration in mind. Buy X-Guide now and upgrade to Robotics later. Take advantage of all that X-Guide has to offer now and be an expert in navigation when you upgrade to robotics.
Yes. There will always be benefits to dynamic navigation; therefore, your X-Guide robot will have the unique ability to go back and forth between robotics and navigation. No need to choose between one or the other when you can have both!
Absolutely! FastMap remains part of our All-in-One solution, whether it is dynamic or robotic navigation. This versatility is one of the many benefits of our advanced camera system and multi-patented software technology.
The X-Guide robot is not fully autonomous. X-Nav appreciates the surgeon’s desire to feel the bone when drilling, thus the robotic system is being designed to provide real-time, tactile guidance, with the goal of maintaining surgeon control of the dental handpiece while the robot delivers feedback toward the desired target. Final features will be subject to regulatory review.
The X-Nav Robot will be designed specifically for multiple configurations in the dental office – both in space and workflow.
The X-Nav Robotic System is not yet released and cannot yet be ordered. Our vision is to make dental robotics more accessible, and that is why we are focusing our development efforts on a system that aligns with the needs of real-world dental practices. By investing in X-Guide today, clinicians will not only elevate their practice now but position themselves to comfortably transition into the future of robotics in dentistry.
